I wish that I had saved some so that I could have made the jam - it sounds delicious. I love your #4 - my husband is a wonderful cook and thankfully is also a very experienced "canner." My husband hates rhubarb, but I had some of the best rhubarb cake in Germany in June. It seems rhubarb is big in Germany and lots are grown in the north eastern part. You are correct, blueberry jam by itself is tasteless and way too sweet. Unless the berries are somewhat tart, one needn't use so much sugar. I haven't found any good tasting blueberries so far this summer. I try them from every farmer's market that I can, so far, not too bluberry tasting or sweet enough.
