Blogger’s Block

It’s Sunday night. The bills are paid. The counter is clean. It’s summer. I have no more blogs on deck and I have a week ahead of me with no time for writing. I can’t think of anything to write about. I did make a really good non-mayo coleslaw this weekend, but it all got eaten before I could take a picture and I didn’t really write the recipe down. So that’s not going to work…. So, what should I write about?

Here’s some interesting info for you: Whenever I blog about organic or GMOs, those posts always really resonate with everyone, but I just can’t make myself write about either unless I really FEEL it, which is about once every two months. And following the Farm Bill has been just too exhausting and infuriating. My recipes are always popular; my top-performing recipe is “How to Make Crackers (It’s So Freaking Easy!).” Who knew so many people were looking for cracker recipes? I have a desktop filled with half-written blogs that start strong and then fall apart. Most of them start out really angry, like letters that should never be sent. So I don’t send them.

Here are some things I would like to write about but can’t because it might show up in the papers: my job, my personal life (like the really personal stuff), or things that annoy me. (Oh, wait, I wrote about that last week.) So what will my next blog be about? I’m not sure yet. It seems I’ve got blogger’s block, which rarely happens. So tell me what you think I should write about that you haven’t read about yet. Send me your lists! Help me with some ideas. It’s summer, so anything goes.

Thanks!!!

Your kids: how you raise them, feed them, etc. Do you follow a guideline? Are the second and third children easier than the first? Do you enjoy their childhood? What part of it? Do you discipline them? Are they good at school?
    Just a thought…

    Thanks

I always enjoy whatever you write about. I’ve been having the same block myself, though. Our blog is about sharing, but after 4 years, I am not sure if I want to share anymore! It is fun when it’s fun and flowing.

Writing about writer’s block is where you are. We all have pauses between energy and rest, so we all can relate.

Having a mother who didn’t love me nor showed any affection, I love to hear stories of a mother’s love for their children. I loved my Grandmothers dearly and felt loved by them, I love to hear about the love between grandparents and grandchildren.

How about the “little things in life” that makes you happy and appreciative.
    Write about friendship.
    Being thankful.
    The sound of silence.
    Food fairs.
    The heart.
