Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, and the State of Change
On Wednesday, I watched two big speeches.
On Huffingtonpost.com—along with about 800,000 other people (you could see the number of people watching it change in real time)—I saw a blurry Steve Jobs unveil Apple’s latest creation, the iPad, thanks to some guy holding up an iPhone to record the event. It really doesn’t matter if a Republican or a Democrat is in charge. Unless some politicians grow some…shall we say…masculine tools essential for procreation, we are doomed to have an increasingly large federal government. And yet, with Bernanke finally warning us that our debt is leading to financial instability (what took him so long?), maybe someone in Washington will do something—preferably more than just raising the price of stamps.

It’s a brand-new day in the USA.
Now that the election is over, we can all breathe a great big sigh of relief. There is a general sense that, aside from running a brilliantly organized and well-funded campaign, Obama won because of the economy.
