Maria’s Five Favorites: Spring-Cleaning

I cannot wait to say good riddance to winter! This has been such a dark, snowy season, and I’m afraid it’s not quite over yet. But that doesn’t mean I can’t have spring fever…which I do. Even more so, I have the itch for some serious spring-cleaning. Being stuck inside for months has left my house a bit, well, messy—so I’m looking forward to breaking out the ecofriendly cleaning supplies and greeting springtime like any welcomed guest, with a sparkling clean home.

1. Glass Cleaning Spray

Let your windows and mirrors shine with this 100 percent biodegradable glass cleaning spray. The plant-based, nontoxic formula leaves glass surfaces and mirrors sparkling-clean.

2. Stainless and Granite Cleaning Pads

Made from recycled plastic, these cleaning pads are a great way to polish and remove stains, water spots, fingerprints, and grease from stainless steel cookware, appliances, and granite countertops. The natural abrasives clean easily without harsh chemicals—just moisten with a little water.

3. Floor Cleaner

Scented with essential oils, this 100 percent biodegradable, plant-based floor cleaner safely mops away dirt and grime. Its concentrated formula is gentle to use on any sealed floor surface, such as stone, wood, tile, or bamboo. Choose from unscented, bergamot, or lavender.

4. Beachwood Toilet Brush Stand

Make over your toilet brush with this handcrafted toilet brush stand—made from sustainably sourced beechwood. The stand allows the pig-bristle brush to stay dry, retain its shape, and prevent mold. It’s also equipped with a ceramic edge cleaner. It’s a simple swap to beautify your bath.

5. Wildharvested White Sage Smudge Stick

Clear out bad (winter) vibes and welcome harmony in your home with this white sage smudge stick. It’s handmade using wildcrafted ingredients by wild fragrance experts and avid hikers, who are specially permitted to carefully gather and wildharvest herbs and plant trimmings from West Coast national parks, trails, and mountains. Use this to cleanse your dwelling and fill it with the evocative aroma of wild sage.
